ABQ Fighting Game events August 28-29

Yo ABQ! we got two hot events this weekend, with players coming from as far as El Paso. First up on Saturday night is ZACHBATS: The fighting game party, and sunday afternoon is the final of this season's ABQ Ran Bats.

You may be wondering what a 'Ran-Bat' is. It is a series of tournaments that are used to rank members of a local fighting game community, or a Ranking Battle. Ran Bats are 5$ per game per session, and the points carry over from each battle. at the end of the season there is a grand prize for the top placing fighter. Ran Bats are held most Sunday's at straight up pizza in the heights.

ZACHBATS is the fighting game themed party i'm throwing at my place on saturday. We have at least 20 confirmed guests, and its sure to be a big event! Games will start at 7, tournament at 8:30. Main tournament's (Super SFIV and Tekken 6) are 5$ dollars each, and there will be side tournies of older games for a 1$ or less. You will find a complete schedule of tournaments in NM and in the Southwestern region, you'll find the list of all the game currently playing in the Las Lunas arcade TNW, you'll find links to all of the most important resources in the fighting game community, and you'll be able to get in touch with all of New Mexico's finest players.
